This huge park is a popular place for year-round activities, such as biking, snow tubing & skiing.

It is the only national park in Hokkaido, about 50 minutes by car from central Sapporo. The park's content changes greatly between spring through autumn and winter, so you can enjoy every season. 【Spring to autumn】 There is so much to enjoy, such as the "Country Garden" where you can see more than 800 kinds of flowers including tulips, lavender, and cosmos, the "Children's Valley" popular with kids for its trampolines and large slides, the "Takino Forest Zone" where you can enjoy forest play in the rich woods using leaves and nuts and searching for creatures in the stream, and the campground "Auto Resort Takino" that has received a 5-star certification from the Auto Camping Association. Enjoyable from small children to adults…

Visited in summer during a rainy day. Nonetheless the staff were welcoming and we loved the flowers. Kids will love the place - there were so many interesting mini-ecosystems for the kids to explore, like slides shaped like "lava slopes", a huge grassy slope for kids to run up and down and so on.

Takino Suzuran Hillside Park was absolutely beautiful during the Tulip Festa in late May. The park's rolling hills were transformed into a stunning sea of colorful tulips, featuring over 240,000 flowers from around 160 varieties in full bloom. The vibrant flower displays, combined with the spacious natural surroundings, make it a wonderful place for walking, relaxing, and photography. We were also lucky to visit on one of the park's free admission days, which made the experience even better. 😆 A fantastic seasonal destination and one of the highlights of spring in Hokkaido.

We came at the end of the winter season but it surprisingly snowed the night before so there was a nice layer of fresh powdery snow! It is a good beginner place for skiing and kids activities with the highlight being the free tubing. Also, free entry during the winter season so this is a great place for newbies to the snow.

This is a great place to bring the kids. There is plenty of space to run and activities to entertain them. The "playground" was not the conventional ones that you see. The lava slides was a hit and the park even provided helmets for children below 12. Definitely worth the admission fee.

A huge park with a lot of different area to visit. We went in the summer for the flowers but couldn’t see a lot. Maybe spring is the right season to watch the hillside full of flowers
