The owners are wonderful and friendly. The spicy miso tsukemen was delicious, as was the char shiu -- and all the other ramen I could see both looked and smelled fantastic too - highly recommended 😁

After seeing the reviews and learning that it's a popular shop with a line, I visited with high expectations. There is a dedicated parking lot, but it only holds 5 cars, so depending on the timing it may be full. Inside, you can see corrugated tin sheets, giving it a kind of secret-hideout atmosphere. It's a space with character that conveys years of operation. People who like shiny new shops may find it a bit off-putting, but it has the comfort of a traditional ramen shop. There are counter, table, and booth seats, so it seems easy to use whether you're alone or with family. However, the shop isn't very large, so it could get crowded depending on the time. This time we went as a party of two. 【Awase Miso (980 yen)】 A classic Sapporo-style miso ramen. It's not too rich, and the aftertaste is surprisingly light. The curly noodles go well with the soup, and it was delicious. However, as someone who prefers ramen with a strong fatty richness, I found it a little lacking. 【Neko Goma Tantan (1,020 yen・spiciness 2 〈free〉)】 You grind the sesame yourself as you eat, which adds a bit of fun. I kept the spiciness low this time, so it felt closer to a miso ramen than a tantanmen. Overall it has a gentle flavor and a light aftertaste. 【Fried rice】 It's not the kind that's "so good you're moved," but it had a nostalgic taste like fried rice eaten at your parents' home. Overall the flavors were well balanced, and it was ramen I could finish without feeling weighed down. Rather than a punchy, rich type, I get the impression it would suit people who like calm flavors, and probably middle-aged customers. The staff also welcomed us warmly in a homey way, and I felt as comfortable as if I'd come back to my parents' house. They also had paper aprons, which women will appreciate, and tissues, which are welcome at a ramen shop, so I could feel the attention to small details. I hear that if you bring a pot, you can get ramen to take out!

The "golden awase miso" that satisfied both heart and stomach, discovered in the fiercely competitive Nango 18-chome area The Nango 18-chome area is packed with strong miso ramen contenders. I visited "Takezo," which I had been curious about for a while, for the first time. This time I ordered the **"Awase Miso"**, the number one most popular item. The bowl that arrived was truly golden! When I took a sip of the soup, the richness and umami of the miso spread in perfect balance, and I was amazed at the high level. It goes superbly with the medium-thick curly noodles, and my chopsticks wouldn't stop. The taste is of course great, but what deserves special mention is the hospitality of the owner and staff. It was very lively and yet attentive to detail, a "pleasant service," and I had a comfortable time until I left the shop. I'm also very curious about the "Suratan" that the regulars around me were ordering and the recommended "Shin Shoyu." Definitely a place I'll return to. Thank you for the meal!

Perfect. Among the top 🏆 in my many years of eating around, where I only choose miso. The richness of the soup, the heat that lasts to the end, the flavor and doneness of the noodles, and the melt-in-your-mouth tenderness of the chashu are all the best. The owner and his wife care so much about their customers and the atmosphere is comfortable, so I'll definitely go again!
