●2025/05/26/MON ★Shinryu @Shoyu Ramen ¥700 Personally, I find ramen shops in the west side of town a high bar 💦 But for today's lunch I rode my beloved bike to Shinryu in Kotoni 🏍 Looking at the menu, there are signs of price increases, but it's wallet-friendly pricing, with ramen starting at 700 yen a bowl ✌️ This time I had the top menu item, the shoyu ramen 🍜 It was served right away, about 3 minutes after ordering 👍 It has a simple, school-cafeteria look 🍜 The soup, which has almost no oiliness, is clean and gentle, with a nice balance of a low-salt shoyu kaeshi and the sweetness of vegetables 💕 The classic noodles from Ichiyanagi paired with it are delicious 😋 The word "simple" fits perfectly‼️ The toppings, thin but meaty chashu, naruto, crisp menma, and a little bit of wakame, really add flavor 🍥 Probably, since it calls itself a Chinese diner, the thick-sauced dishes like ankake must be good too 😋 If I get another chance to come, I plan to aim for the Kanton-men or ankake yakisoba 👍 Thank you for the meal 🙏

The basic flavors of Sapporo, all delicious‼️ For anyone from Sapporo, these are flavors familiar since childhood. The flavor everyone calls "this is it!" fills every menu item. On the first day I had ankake yakisoba, fried rice, and gyoza. The next day I had miso ramen and butadon. Soup or miso soup comes with them. All of it was delivery. My family had other menu items. It was undoubtedly the taste of home. When I come back to my hometown again, I'll definitely use it‼️ By the way, it's run by an elderly couple.

When I stepped inside, the nicely aged interior had a Showa scent, the kind of atmosphere I like! Looking at the menu, there were many items that caught my interest, and I ordered the Tenshin-men (900 yen)❕ It arrived. When I tried the soup, the light soup had the ankake melting into it and clinging to the noodles, delicious❕ The egg was softly cooked with lots of ingredients like onion, shiitake, and naruto, topped with green peas, and once again I enjoyed it 😋🍴💕❕ This shop also has the fried-egg fried rice, I see 😃

From the look of the place to the menu, it feels like the real deal "machi chuuka" (neighborhood Chinese diner), and that's very nice. The yakisoba isn't made with steamed noodles but with ramen noodles, with a crisp bite, and it's delicious. The katsu curry has a simple taste too. It's mild enough for children to eat, but combined with the katsu it makes a really good flavor. Everything has a nostalgic taste you don't get tired of. A hidden gem that I hope continues forever.

【2024.09.29】 Lunch of "Katsu Curry" at 《Shinryu》, a chuuka shokudo-style ramen shop The shop is a neighborhood Chinese place in Kotoni… with a red L-shaped counter and a small raised seating area, a Showa-style "classic ramen shop"! Above the counter is a long yellow menu board… starting from shoyu ramen at the right end, followed by noodles, rice bowls, then fried rice, rice dishes like curry, and set meals… lined up with 39 items I ordered the katsu curry I was after… after waiting just under 10 minutes, the curry arrived with a spoon and fork, along with Chinese soup The curry is piled full on a slightly small curry plate… I thought it might not be enough, but the plate is deep so it's quite substantial The curry has the mild spice of curry powder and Chinese umami… it has a wobbly thickness and is delicious! It contains julienned carrots (for ankake yakisoba?) and onions (for stir-fried vegetables?) The tonkatsu is freshly fried with a crisp coating and tender meat, very satisfying! I'm also happy that Chinese soup comes with it Parking is for 2 cars along the wall on the left side of the shop
