炭焼きジンギスカン いし田Sumiyaki Ki Jingisukan Ishi Ta
The best Jingisukan restaurant, serving Hokkaido lamb, mainly the branded Shibetsu Suffolk sheep. Hokkaido beef is also available. We also recommend our Hokkaido natural wine that you can't drink anywhere else

Come here if you’re tired of eating seafood in Sapporo 😅 Absolutely splendid meat - that’s saying a lot coming from Switzerland where we get top quality grass fed beef. We ordered the Hokkaido lamb and beef sets (appetizers, organ meat, meat, vegetables and beef consommé). It’s the first time I had lamb offal and it was delicious! The service was fantastic: the older gentleman showed us how to grill the meat and vegetables the right way, which we appreciated very much. Thank you for the lovely dinner
View on GoogleA dinner from the table grill is usually enjoyed in company. As a solo traveler, I was therefore hesitant to reserve a table at Ishida. What convinced me was the fact that Genghis Khan-style dinners are specific to Sapporo, and a dear friend who hails from that city recommended I give it a try. It turned out that half the fun was spending an evening with Japanese salarymen entertaining each other with lively conversation (beer and highballs included, of course). The other (and probably more important to you) half is the mutton served here. I opted for the meat from the 100% Hokkaido-bred sheep. This was of excellent quality (including offal such as tongue and liver). A bowl of raw vegetables (but no rice or noodles) is also brought to the table. The friendly staff help with the grilling. A real and absolutely positive surprise was the local chilled red wine from Otaru which was served at the beginning. I ordered more. All in all, an excellent and clearly recommended experience also for solo dining.
View on GoogleI don’t usually write a review of every restaurant that I eat in but I felt that I should write one for this to address prior reviews about bad service. The restaurant is away from the main tourist attraction. Situated on the 2nd floor of a nondescript bldg, they have around 10-12 tables. The evening I was there, more than half the tables were empty. I was promptly seated and offered a complimentary wine. They have 6 set meal options. Everyone has to order at least one set and then additional ala carte options if needed. I got their local mutton/lamb set. It came with 3 starters, 5 pieces of meat and 4 different types of offal. The meat was very tender however all pieces were plain without marination. Some pieces with marination would’ve been nicer.
View on GoogleIt is haard to find this restaurant in the google map. This restaurant is on the second floor. Quite expensive but good quality lamb with no smell. I also recommend the oyster rice in the pot as well.
View on GoogleReservations are recommended. Meat is fresh and big. Very tasty. They gave me some rice as a gift. The customer service is not good.
