The lady owner is very friendly and helped to entertain my 22 months old son by making a simple paper toy to him. She can't understand English but she did her best to serve us. There is no English menu nor dish photo. Ordered the signature tempura soba and it was delicious 😋.
View on GoogleI haven't eaten soba in Hokkaido very often, so I can't really say much, but I could taste the buckwheat flavor. The dipping broth tasted a little salty to me. The soba cooking water was fairly thin and didn't have much buckwheat flavor either. The tempura featured various ingredients, which I enjoyed. The people at the restaurant were very courteous, which was lovely.
View on GoogleOrdered the 野菜天せいろ. The soba was thin but had a firm bite, and the tempura was crisp with a light coating, so you could really taste the vegetables. The complimentary buckwheat tea was delicious too! And the people at the restaurant had such a gentle manner; after I paid, everyone saw me off with smiles and thank-yous… somehow it made me feel kinder too. I'll come back for this very delicious soba & tempura! ※I was the first to enter right when they opened on a day off, but as I sat down and chose from the menu, customers kept arriving, and by the time I was eating it was almost full.
View on GoogleIt's a small place and fills up quickly, so I'd recommend it to people with time to spare. They come all the way to the parking lot to call you. The seasonal tempura combines Japanese and Western styles and is colorful and inventive. The soba is made with 100% buckwheat, but is easy to eat like Sarashina soba. The gentle atmosphere feels warm and comforting.
View on GoogleI had seiro soba with vegetable tempura, The coating was crispy, not greasy, and very delicious. There were also lots of different vegetables, making it fun and tasty to eat. The 10割 soba was thinly cut and perfectly firmed up in water too. I'd like to go again! However, it seems to be run by a married couple, so serving takes a little time. I'd recommend waiting patiently!
