Visited in June 2026. Sapporo, Hokkaido 🇯🇵 Japan. The cozy hall has only 8 seats at the counter. With an open kitchen, warm lighting, and a friendly atmosphere, it feels like visiting a good chef at home. FOOD: We ordered a set for two: Chateaubriand steak (200g) and a hamburger. You can customize the order (add cheese, vegetables, rice). The meat comes with soup, salad, spaghetti, and vegetable sides. The steak was extremely tender and perfectly cooked, while the hamburger was incredibly juicy. Everything was prepared right in front of us on the teppan. Portions are very filling — it’s impossible to leave hungry. The chef works professionally and carefully takes into account preferences for doneness. SERVICE: Friendly and attentive. The chef and staff create a warm and professional experience. VERDICT: Hige is an excellent place in Sapporo to enjoy quality steak or hamburger. We highly recommend it, especially if you love teppanyaki and the intimate atmosphere of small specialized restaurants.

Hamburg was extraordinary, and the steak was also very good. The menu has a wide variety of options to choose from. The hamburg itself had an excellent flavor — honestly, it was so good that it didn’t even need the sauce. It tasted amazing on its own and was quite different from other places I’ve tried. The steak was also delicious, with a nice texture that gave a satisfying chew. The sauce was a bit salty for my taste, but overall the experience was still very good. The atmosphere and food quality made it worth visiting. I would recommend making a reservation in advance as the restaurant can get quite busy.

The beef hamburger was absolutely very delicious without fail. It is my 2nd time within a period of 1 year visiting the shop. Great quality food!!!

Best bang for you buck for wagyu. The steaks are done to perfection and service was really good. Call in to reserve your seat but they can get packed for the night. And order some rice to cut some of the fat from the wagyu.

The restaurant is very modern and the service is super good. That’s not the best! Their food is super affordable for quality steak and hamburg were cooked to perfection based on your preferences. We ordered the garlic fried rice TWICE! It was so fragrant and delicious. Even our 4 year old girl couldn’t stop eating the steak and fried rice. Thank you for the great meal :)
