SAMA is a must-try for soup curry in Sapporo! The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The pricing is fair as it definitely reflects the generous portion sizes you get. We got very lucky with the timing and didn't have a long wait, but be warned—the line usually goes all the way down the stairs! Customer service was okay, standard for a busy shop. Definitely worth the visit if you can beat the crowd!

Quite decent soup curry. Not my favorite type of soup curry but worth giving it a try. You can choose coconut milk flavor and also your spice level. The rice portions are quite decent so there’s no need to take a larger portion than the free of charge middle one.

Soup Curry SAMA in Sapporo’s Tanuki Koji has a delicious vegan 17-vegetable soup curry for ¥1750 (as of April 2026), rice included, with the diner’s choice of spiciness. For ¥150 more, we upgraded the tomato-based soup to include coconut milk. (The shop also has a 10-vegetable vegan version for ¥1350; there are also several non-vegan/vegetarian options for those who prefer them. ) The staff was responsive and friendly, and one member helped us order online when we had questions. Printed menus are available in Japanese, English, Korean, and Chinese. Our food was excellent. In short, we recommend Soup Curry SAMA.

The fries super super oily, like they just took out from the oil tank.how can people eat. And it’s drizzle, soft, very bad fries!!!! Curry is good tho.

Best dish to go for on a cold winter day! First time trying soup curry! I must say I love it alot! Will come back again! Its so rich and flavourful! Vegetables fresh, sweet and good. Many options to choose from, 0 spicy to level 30. Rice portion, soup base, extra toppings. I love the customisation they allow you to have to fit how you like your curry style! Suggestion from me, is to come when they just open, or else it's actually a really long que! But great food is worth the wait!
