Went here Saturday afternoon, and there were very few customers. I came here specifically to avoid the weekend crowds closer to the subway station. Staff were incredibly friendly despite my basic Japanese. The soup curry has more of a unique southeast Asian spice that was really tasty. Fried cheese on the rice was decadent.

If you’re after some traditional Hokkaidō cuisine then Soup Curry is always a great meal. Soup curry Matale Maruyama is a quiet place to sit back and enjoy the fresh taste of Sapporo soul food.

Very cozy place w very nice staff. Curry was quite good but the spice level is a tad mild, so recommend getting higher level of spices if you want to feel a kick

Absolutely amazing south east asian inspired soup curry! Regardless of what you order the soup will absolutely blow you away with it's rich and balanced flavours, and the meats and other vegetables are cooked to perfection as well. Really, really special place to find nestled away in the middle of Sapporo's side streets.

Probably my favourite soup curry restaurant in Japan, and I've tried many. Generous portions and reasonable prices, with a wonderful swing-music atmosphere. 100 yen coffees for lunch during weekdays as well. My favorites dish (pictured) is their thick-cut bacon soup-curry topped with scorched cheese.
