These days, I'm grateful for a set that lets you eat this much for under a thousand yen. I'd appreciate a little more sauce on the pork rice bowl, though. The soba is okay. It made me want to try the other sets too.
View on GoogleI ordered chilled tanuki soba. While eating, I thought it was unusual to have red pickled ginger in it, but it wasn't to my taste. Personally, I think it's unnecessary. Also, they didn't serve soba cooking water. Most soba places do, though. If you don't mind a homey atmosphere, I suppose it's fine.
View on GoogleA neighborhood diner serving goma soba. After running at Moerenuma Park, I came here, somewhere I'd been checking out for a while, to fuel up before taking a bath. I'd bookmarked it because the continuous opening hours seemed convenient. I also hadn't realized it was on a road I regularly use. Its appearance is a bit daunting for first-time visitors. There's room to park a few cars out front. Weekday, 14:00. The staff were having their meal, haha. I ordered what I'd already decided on: a pork rice bowl with less rice and cold soba, 900 yen. Even with less rice, it was a substantial serving. There was a bed of cabbage beneath the pork loin. The pork was perhaps a little tough. The goma soba was surprisingly firm and delicious. Soba might be the thing to get here. Generous portions seem to be the selling point, but that's unnecessary for someone middle-aged. The interior is dark too, so it isn't somewhere I'd go out of my way to visit. I'm grateful for the kindness of the lady who asked, “Did you have enough rice?” when I paid. Thanks for the mealー♪
View on GoogleAn old-fashioned soba restaurant. The portions are simply huge. This tanuki soba is a regular serving.
View on GoogleVisited with my wife at 13 on Saturday. We were told that the “Matsu set meal” on the menu was soba with onion kakiage, so as kakiage lovers, we ordered it right away. We could choose natto or an egg to go with the rice, but after finishing, I realized it might actually have been meant to go on the soba rather than the rice. The soba was goma soba, with a delicious, nostalgic taste. With this portion at this price, I might come again.
