A cozy restaurant on the basement of a building. i just searched on google maps for an Udon place. This came up. It turned out to be an excellent choice! We enjoyed our lunch here! The service is also excellent. Water was refilled without us asking. This place is highly recommend! We will be back again next year!

【そば処きすい】😃 A place I stopped at for lunch😃 ■Basic information • Located on basement level １ of 南一条道銀ビル. • Parking: None; use nearby paid parking. • Seating: Tables. • Payment: Sit down and order, then pay at the register (after eating). • Opening hours: 11–14:30, 17–22 • Closed: Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays. • Reservations accepted • Smoking/non-smoking: Separate areas (non-smoking until 13:30) ■Conditions during my visit • Visit time: Around 11:40 • Crowds: Almost all seats were taken; I just managed to get one. ■What I ordered • Dish: 『舞茸天そばセット(maitake tempura soba (cold), ２ inari sushi, salad, small side dish)(950円)』 ■Impressions • Food: The 『舞茸天そばセット』 I had this time included the main maitake tempura soba, 2 inari sushi, a salad, and even a small side dish, all for 950円—an amazing portion and excellent value! The maitake tempura was crispy and fragrant, pairing perfectly with the chilled, firm soba. With plenty of sides too, this was a thoroughly satisfying set, perfect for a hearty lunch. • Restaurant: When I visited around 11:40, almost all the seats were already occupied, and I was lucky to just get one. Being in a business district, it's very lively at lunchtime, but the staff were efficient and seated me smoothly. The comfortable table seating and the order-first, pay-after-eating system let you relax and enjoy your meal at your own pace. ■Quick note: In a building basement just steps from 「西11丁目駅」 on the subway Tozai Line, this is a hidden gem loved by nearby office workers. Getting such a complete set for under 1,000円 is quite rare even in this area. It's non-smoking until 13:30, so it's also recommended for anyone who wants to focus on lunch without worrying about cigarette smoke. It's closed on weekends and public holidays, so it's definitely worth aiming for a weekday lunch visit. I had a satisfying lunch😃

The 親子丼 and cold soba set at そば処きすい I thought the soba portion would be small because it was a set meal, but it was surprisingly substantial.

My first visit was at night with a friend who can't drink alcohol. There aren't many dishes, but the だし巻き, grilled chicken thigh, corn tempura, and everything else were carefully prepared and delicious. The soba to finish was also just the right portion to fill my stomach after drinking. Smoking being allowed is a slight drawback, but it's ideal for a casual drink with male friends. The prices are very low too. I'd like to visit again.
