They probably put care into their cooking, but it's an ordinarily tasty place, neither great nor bad! There are several soba shops nearby with a luxurious feel, big portions, photogenic presentation, and so on, but this one is completely ordinary! Perhaps they're very earnest? I had soba with maitake and squid tempura at そば御殿. The place is always packed at lunchtime. That day, too, I arrived shortly after opening. There was still room inside then, but by the time I finished eating, it was full. Customers were waiting outside as well. It's a place loved by the locals.

I was looking around thinking, “Is there somewhere to eat?” when I found a nice-looking soba shop, so I went in. I had カレー南蛮 and it was pretty tasty. The lady serving us was really attentive—a pro❗

I love finding places that look old from the outside (ideally an old shop whose neighboring buildings have already been demolished and turned into parking lots). Usually, the elderly owner of a place like this has spent a lifetime sticking to one very simple thing. Even if everything next door has been torn down, they still refuse to leave. The food is definitely good and won't be very expensive. Today's soba shop met these criteria perfectly. The 親子丼 and soba combo is absolutely delicious, without question!
