Small but sweet museum with free entry. Staff were incredibly friendly, they unveiled a stair lift to help keep up the stairs with my wheelchair and checked in with me a lot! One staff member helped us get dressed in the judge and clerk’s clothes which was very fun. Information is in English and Japanese. Upstairs they had local artists showing their work. One artist gave us a free hand dyed bookmark, and another gave us a free postcard! I loved seeing the artwork and discussing it with the artists. Well worth a visit if you have some time to spare.

We stopped by the park in front of the Sapporo Shiryokan for a short walk. The red-brick building stands out and the area is open and easy to walk around. It’s a nice place to pass by, take a few photos, and spend a bit of time outside.

I didn't explore the building enough to know more about the building's history all of former court house. I did go through the art exhibit they featured, and noticed they had a several workshops going on in some of the rooms.

There is a lot of history in this building. From the outside it is an impressive building. Entry is free of charge. Inside there is a number of historic displays of the old court rooms and local and building history.

Has new displays each month. We have met some very knowledgeable, friendly hosts each time we visited. Highly recommended. No fee to visit.
