Sapporo Junren left a good impression on me for a one-time visit. The miso ramen was rich and hearty, and the butter added a nice touch, while the shoyu version felt a bit lighter and easier to finish. I enjoyed trying it, but it is not the kind of spot I would rush back to anytime soon.
View on GoogleQueue moved pretty fast, took about 10 minutes of waiting before seats freed up, had the shio ramen set + chahan and the spicy ramen
View on GoogleSapporo Junren's ramen features a thick miso soup, with a deep, rich and savoury flavour from the first mouthful. The lard floating on the surface traps in the heat, allowing you to enjoy it hot to the end. The medium-thick noodles are perfectly blended with the soup and are very satisfying. The chashu pork is tender and soaked in flavour, making it an exquisite dish. If you want to taste the royal road of Sapporo ramen, you cannot miss Junren. The atmosphere of the world is also old-fashioned, making it an irresistible choice for ramen lovers. Kauta Parking is available and the restaurant has a counter as well as two tables, ideal for families and groups.
View on GoogleThis place has amazing original Sapporo Butter Miso Ramen with everything your heart desires! The broth is deep, rich and creamy with a delicious mix of flavors. The butter mixes really well with the other ingredients. The corn just rounds it out so well, without overpowering the experience. It truly fits Hokkaido so well! I've had butter ramen in a few other locations, but this ramen shop is really special. Definitely worth the drive for any Ramen fan.
View on GoogleDate of visit: 28 Apr 2023 Time : 8pm The eatery is small maybe 2 rectangular tables seating max 6 each and the rest are counter tables maybe another 8 facing the kitchen. Looks popular people streaming in after 8 and sitting down in the queue seats. You buy ramen tickets via a vending machine and hand them to the waitress. Can’t say we like the ramen as compared to the locals. Too salty. And the noodles are springy but slightly tough.
