Amazing experience at Shirokuma! It was my partner's first time having lamb because she usually hates the gamey smell. Since their menu is entirely lamb (even the sausages!), we took a chance—and she loved it! The meat is so tender, easy to eat, and completely odorless. I was genuinely surprised by how much she ate. The shop has a great local, cozy counter-bar vibe wrapped around the grill, and the prices are surprisingly affordable for such high-quality meat. A perfect spot in Sapporo, even for those who think they don't like lamb!

I was dining inside the restaurant and witnessed the owner’s behavior toward other customers firsthand. It was honestly one of the rudest customer service experiences I have ever seen. As soon as customers walked in, the owner immediately chased them away in a hostile manner. Only after doing so did the owner pretend to be polite by saying, “Please wait a moment.” By then, the customers had already been embarrassed and humiliated. There is a huge difference between asking customers to wait and treating them with complete disrespect. Every customer deserves to be spoken to with basic courtesy, regardless of how busy the restaurant may be. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. If the owner cannot treat customers with respect, then no one should have to experience such insulting and unprofessional behavior.

Very nice staff with limited english but they were patient and helpful. The atmosphere was amazing, food was great. My wife cannot handle the gamey flavors of lamb, but she thought it tasted just like beef.

A bit difficult to reserve but worth it. Draft Sapporo beer with local lamb is perfect combination.
