The Sapporo Beer Museum is one of the most iconic attractions in Sapporo, especially for beer lovers. The historic red brick building creates a unique atmosphere, and the exhibits give a solid overview of the history and evolution of Sapporo Beer. The real highlight is the tasting experience. You can sample different varieties of Sapporo beer and clearly notice the differences in flavor and depth. It’s a great way to understand why Sapporo is one of Japan’s most famous beer brands. If you have time, don’t miss the nearby Beer Garden where you can enjoy Jingisukan (grilled lamb) with fresh draft beer — it completes the entire experience. Overall, it’s not just a museum, but a full cultural experience combining history, taste, and atmosphere. Highly recommended when visiting Sapporo. View on GoogleYour visit to Sapporo or Hokaido will not be complete until you visit the Sapporo Beer Museum which was the birth place of Sapporo Beer and the brewery. Easily accessible by bus, Taxi or train from any part of the city. It is a large complex of old brewery factory which is converted into a beautiful museum, souvenir shop and a grill restaurant. You spend about half a day walking around enjoying the architecture and greenery. Enjoy the beer tasting cafe which serves brews only available in this part of the world. Lunch at the grill restaurant will be the perfect way to end your visit here. The serve the famous lamb grill and various seafood dishes. With abundance of beer choices to choose too. A must visit place in Sapporo.

View on GoogleThe Sapporo Beer Museum was truly one of the most memorable stops of our trip. The historic red brick architecture is beautiful, and the whole place carries so much character and history. Walking through the exhibits and seeing the original brewing equipment made the experience feel immersive and special. The beer tasting was a highlight for us. We enjoyed trying the different varieties, each with its own unique taste, and it was fun experiencing them right at the birthplace of Sapporo beer. The snowy outdoor setting made the museum even more picturesque, and it turned into such a lovely spot for photos as well. Great atmosphere, rich history, excellent beer, and a very unique Sapporo experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the city.
View on GoogleWent to the museum and did the self guided tour which is free. If you wish you can ask for a premium guided tour. Then went to the first floor to make a reservation for a restaurant to have a "jengiskan" experience. This is a type of eating where you cook yourself Korean style but with lamb meat. We ordered a couple of pre made sets that includes different t types and cuts if meat sliced thinly ao it cook faster. I ordered Hokkaido Wagyu which is a rare delicacy very little amount of restaurants serve. Of course we ordered some beers with that. I ordered the black beer twice. It was that good. Overall a very nice experience that I would recommend. It's family friendly so you do not need to worry of the fact is a beer factory. There are plenty of options for kids too, including recreational parks around the premises.
