Their coconut soup curry is unique amongst other shops and tastes similar to southeast asian curries that uses coconut milk, like Thai red curry. It was overall not bad, but does lose the characteristic taste of Japanese soup curry. Coconut milk also dampens the spice, so I’d suggest going for a higher level of spice than what you’d usually go for. For drinks, the yuzu honey lassi is a must.

Amazing curry served in staub cookware. The zangi is deliciously marinated. I’m a bit confused on the cheese but I’m sure this would be a Uni student favorite. Spice level 4 is perfect for those looking for mild spice. The lassi portion size is a bit small though.

You've got to try the fantastic Hokkaido soup curry here! We chose the original tomato-based soup, and both the meat and vegetables were outstanding. They let you pick your spice level up to 30 🔥, but beware: levels above 25 are truly a "danger zone" and incredibly challenging. If you're a spice lover, level 20 is perfect. We personally love spicy food and discovered that level 25 delivered a powerful, delicious kick without any of that unpleasant burnt chili taste. And seriously, the fried burdock side dish is super yummy!

Crispy Chicken Tomato Soup Curry was absolutely fantastic. The soup was really delicious and the chicken was excellent. Great variety of veggies, too. We also enjoyed the burdock fries, which we'd never tried before.

Must try! A short train trip from Susukino district and one I would walk if there was no trains! This has to be one of the best soup curries I have ever had and now I understand why Hokkaido is know for it. I got a Coconut Curry - university combination with a spice level of 5 and a small rice portion. Level 5 spice is very approachable and I would recommend going a little more ~7. Friendly staff and an English menu if you dont have google lens.
