I ordered the cold niku tsuke soba. One egg is included as a free service. The generously piled soba is topped with plenty of green onion, pork belly, and nori, and the dipping sauce seems to have a faint layer of chili oil (rayu?) floating on it. It looks like the Onisoba that used to be in Kita 18-jo. There are self-serve fried tempura bits (agedama) and various seasonings, and I topped mine with agedama, fish powder, and yuzu kosho. The fish powder was exactly the right call and added depth to the dipping sauce. When you dab a little yuzu kosho on the soba, it has a sharp kick that goes really well with the fish-powder dipping sauce. A very satisfying bowl.
View on GoogleToday I came to Sakurai Seimenjo's tsuke soba shop for the first time in a while, and although I wanted to try the soba too, it's abura soba after all! Looking at the menu, niku tsuke soba is perfect for a hot summer, but I hadn't had abura soba (890 yen) in a while, and since the noodle amount can be chosen from 150g, 225g, or 300g, I went with 300g, and the char siu onigiri looked delicious too, so I ordered that as well (250 yen)! It arrived. First I mixed it thoroughly and took a bite, and the rich, greasy feel I hadn't had in a while coated the noodles really well, so good 😋 I stirred in the free raw egg and it was creamy and smooth like carbonara, and once again I enjoyed it 😋🍴💕 The char siu onigiri also seemed to have a bit of sesame oil in it and was delicious, and the water tasted great again today ♪ The trivia placed alongside the menu is fun too 🤣
View on Google[2025.10] #2025SureToReturnList Morning Soba 500 yen First, you order at the counter. Until 11 there is a morning menu, and tsuke soba and abura soba can be had for 500 yen. Adding a small curry or char siu mayo rice is +250 yen. Before 11 the table seats were almost full. It seems to be a very busy shop. After a while my number was called, so I went to the counter to pick it up. Next to the counter is a long row of seasonings, and there's even the generous service of one free raw egg. The tenkasu being there is also nice. What I ordered was cold soba with warm dipping broth. Though not quite like Otoineppu soba, the noodles are quite black, have a firm bite, and are pretty good. The broth isn't ordinary soba tsuyu but tsukemen-style with sweetness and a little spiciness, and it has quite a lot of green onion and is tasty. I'd wanted to eat it with regular soba tsuyu, but surprisingly the taste is addictive. Breaking the raw egg into it was delicious too. At the end I made soup-wari with the pot for diluting the soup, which they brought all the way to my seat, and took a breather. The service and hospitality were great too, but somewhat different from what impressed me at "Tokuichi," and being seen off all the way to the door on the way out felt like the excessive service peculiar to Japan.
View on GoogleNiku tsuke soba 960 yen tax included Since it was my first visit and I was unfamiliar, I ordered the recommended niku tsuke soba at the top left of the menu. This is a distinctive shop with a rare system these days: both serving and clearing the dishes are self-service. You pay up front, and when your order is called you pick it up from the serving window and move to your table. The niku tsuke soba had a slightly small amount of steamed pork, I think? Well, it's cheap, so it can't be helped. The soba dipping sauce was a bit spicy, which blew away the soba's flavor and I couldn't feel the umami of the soba.
View on GoogleNew menu from March Limited time Horunira Tsuke Soba 980 yen Glossy noodles dipped in a warm sauce full of the umami of horumon and nira spicy and delicious it warms you from the core of your body! On sale from March 2 Special Tsukemen (with rice) The noodles are the homemade TKM-exclusive noodles! I heard that if you put the gara soup in first so the noodles don't get cold, the soup stays hot longer, so I tried it! Simple toppings that suit tsukemen, thick-cut char siu and an egg, the rich, seafood-dashi soup clings to the chewy noodles and it's delicious ♪ To finish I diluted the soup with gara soup and put it into the rice! Added an egg too it's irresistibly good ♪ The niku soba and TKM I had before were delicious too! Please do go ♡ Hokkaido Gourmet Cafe @marche_nao I'd be happy if you followed me ☺︎
