We visited this unique retro museum nestled within a biscuit factory run by 77-year-old (if I remembered correctly) Mr Saka. My experience at Retro Space Museum has been a nostalgic walk down memory lane and a glimpse of history decades before I was born. To some, Mr Saka’s collection could be seen as a hoarder’s compulsion to collect more items. To me, I saw a man’s evolving passion towards different types of items and how this passion has shaped his life. The arrangement and pristine condition of the items are testament to the effort he has put towards and the pride he has to showcase his memorabilia (and hints of paraphilia 🤭) to his visitors. It was a breath of fresh air browsing the items in this museum (as opposed to the other ones I’ve visited) and conversing with Mr Saka about his life, work and collections. I would strongly encourage anyone to check this place out!

The owner and staff are very friendly. As tourists, we found this lifetime collection of retro (Showa Era) artifacts to be a refreshing detour from normal attractions.

Extraordinary and amazing place, where you could deep dive into an exceptional collection. Being in this place is a magical experience. Walking through narrow passages surrounded by many ordinary and unexpected things is like a treasure hunting. Every level and direction hides something worth mentioning. I am grateful to the creator of this place Mr. Saka-san for making it publicly available and for spreading the message of freedom, peace and harmony to the world. It's good to take a bite of Saka biscuits after a visit. Must seen place on Hokkaido.

As others have reviewed, this place is incredible. An amazing collection of curiosities of every shape. Saka sensei is incredibly well versed and so kind. He loves to talk about his collection and can give you information on any thing you ask about. Truly an amazing experience in Sapporo I wish more people knew about
