Delicious ramen with free bowl of rice at lunchtime.
View on GoogleLate February 2026 (243) I went to [Ramen Kitarou]. I ordered the tonkotsu shoyu ramen, and my companion ordered the tonkotsu white miso ramen. The toppings of the tonkotsu shoyu ramen: sautéed onion, menma, green onion, half a soft-boiled egg, pork shoulder loin(?) chashu, wood ear mushroom, nori; the noodles are medium-thick curly noodles, and the soup is tonkotsu shoyu. Delicious~! I've only been eating tonkotsu thick enough to be cloudy white lately, so it's been a while since I had this kind of tonkotsu soup, and it's delicious. The noodles are delicious too~! Also, when you warm the chashu in the soup and eat it, it has a chew but is tender, and the meat's umami spreads in your mouth. Delicious! I got to taste the white miso ramen too, and it's delicious too!! I'd like to visit again. Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleI've been to Kitarou a number of times. I always eat the miso, but today I had the light shoyu! The menma isn't particularly distinctive, but the chashu is probably distinctive. It's firm and big!! People who like melt-in-your-mouth chashu might not like it. The taste really feels reassuring. The hours are long, from lunch to night, so it's nice that it's open even if you go outside the lunch rush! I'll visit again!!
View on GoogleI went after seeing the reviews. I went around 4 p.m. (is it lunch... or dinner...), so I was the only customer and could eat comfortably. Tori miso seemed popular, so I went along and ordered the tori miso. Since I was starving, I also ordered the mini fried rice from the side menu. The ramen was rich with curly noodles! It was to my taste so it was the best! It's rich but I don't think it's that greasy. I didn't get tired of the soup as I drank it, and I think it had a bit of spiciness. The fried rice was also quite good, but I felt there was a bit too much salt and pepper? As for the atmosphere, a gentle-seeming owner seemed to be running it alone. The inside feels clean. The parking lot seems to fit about 4 cars. I'll be a repeat customer!
View on GoogleI'm a Sapporo resident. Ramen preferences vary from person to person, but I've kept going to this place as a favorite for 19 years. As someone who likes rich flavors, my favorite is the "tori miso ramen." It's rarely featured in books or special features about Sapporo ramen, but it's a shop loved by locals.
