I visited this pioneering shop again after 16 years. They've been serving Jiro-style ramen since before the genre became widely known in Sapporo. I ordered 極太にんにく醤油 with extra garlic. The extra-thick noodles take time to cook, so I waited patiently. The bowl is fairly small, making the portion look large. Visually, there seemed to be almost no pork back fat on top. I scooped up some soup with the ramen spoon, dissolved the garlic into it, and chomped through the chewy, extra-thick noodles. Apparently the noodles weigh 250g, so they didn't seem to diminish much, but I kept chomping away and somehow finished everything.

I didn't know the default setup, so I called out what I wanted Extra vegetables, less garlic, regular fat They seem to serve two bowls at a time. The owner's careful work brought a piping-hot bowl to the table First I ate a mouthful of the slightly crunchy vegetables, then pulled out the noodles A little soft? Extra-thick straight noodles with a smooth texture Different from Jiro's dense, chewy noodles, which are often flat and made with オーション flour For my taste, I should have requested firmer noodles The chashu was meltingly tender and really good; I loved it The soup was non-emulsified, with a sharp soy sauce flavor, strongly flavored but somehow light Partway through, I added some table pepper for an accent My friend had mentioned this, but it's more a place whose main menu uses medium-thick curly noodles and also serves Jiro-style ramen Regardless of genre, I simply thought it was delicious ramen! The calm, comfortable atmosphere inside is nice too Next time I'd really like to try the miso with medium-thick curly noodles
View on Google鷲尾★ジロー's “Lunchtime Ramen” vol.892 🍜【極太にんにく醤油+raw egg】 Opened in Heisei 15 (2003), this accomplished shop has reached its 20th anniversary. It relocated to new premises in Reiwa 1 (2019). Today I had “月見二郎”, the staple “極太にんにく醤油” with an added “raw egg”😋 Heaps of vegetables and pork broth, extra-thick noodles with the mellow richness of egg, showing a distinctive character amid its powerful impact. Among Sapporo's many “Jiro-style” places, I believe “らーめんてら” was the first to serve “Jiro-inspired ramen”. A treasured bowl that brought Jiro culture to Sapporo🍜 Delicious♪ Thank you for the meal (Visited July 23, 2023)
View on Google極太にんにく醤油チャーシュー 1430 Apparently this shop has served this menu since before there was a Jiro in Sapporo. Super delicious! Easier to eat than other Jiro-inspired ramen! The shop's atmosphere is also really nice! Thank you for the meal! I'll be back!
View on GoogleFor lunch today I really wanted to go all out with Jiro-style ramen, so I came to らーめんてら! Jiro-style means thick noodles! So I ordered 極太にんにく醤油チャーシュー(1280円)with the free vegetable topping❕ It arrived. The bean sprouts looked delicious! First I pushed aside the sprouts and took a sip of soup. The rich, sweet-and-salty broth coated the dense, extra-thick noodles for just the right flavor! The dense noodles intertwined with crunchy sprouts, a harmony that made my mouth happy! The chashu was delicious, with tender meat and a noticeable fibrous texture. Another delicious meal today😋💕❕
