This was a small simple place with two tatami sit-down tables and about 6 counter seats in a two-person operation. There are six free parking spots (4 on the side and two in front). We were recommended to try the miso ramen, and we also tried the spicy miso ramen. The miso was of a strong dark variety; the spicy miso ramen looked similar but was spicy despite not appearing so. They didn't offer eggs, but the meat was thick pork. A delicious take on the regular ramen, so give it a try if you are around Makomani or in Minami Ward. Of note, the restaurant certificate was from Showa 34 (1958)!
View on GoogleVisited on a friend's recommendation. Our group plays quizzes guessing which restaurant a ramen comes from. Seeing a photo of the salt wonton noodles here, I said テツヤ! Wait, but テツヤ doesn't have salt wonton noodles, right! I was completely tricked (laughs) My mother loved it and used to visit when the previous generation ran it, so I knew the restaurant but hadn't had a chance to go. Since I failed the quiz, I went right away. Salt wonton noodles 950円 Classic Sapporo salt ramen. But there are hardly any places left serving old-fashioned salt ramen this deliciousー. Like 北乃ラーメン and 仙龍… It was a little salty for me, but not excessively so, and I could keep eating. I'd be happier if the broth were piping hotー. Still, 950円 for this ramenー. I'd come back even with a 50円 increase… There's another dish I'm curious about, so I'll return soon!
View on GoogleI'm a tourist from Thailand and had the opportunity to travel around Hokkaido for 5 days. For my last meal on the day before returning home, I visited **ラーメン大蓮(Ramen Dairen)**. The restaurant has a very homey atmosphere, and I was impressed by how carefully it was run by just a married couple (or 2 people). From the moment I entered, it felt warm and calming, like a place loved by local regulars. The ramen was delicious, with deep flavors that made me want to eat it again from the first bite. Yet the prices were very reasonable, offering such good value that it hardly felt like a tourist area. The portion was just right and satisfying too. Having parking was another welcome point, making it very convenient to visit by car. I'm truly happy to have found such a heartwarming ramen shop at the end of my Hokkaido trip. I'd definitely recommend it to both tourists and locals. If I have another chance to visit Hokkaido, I'll certainly return.
View on GoogleVisited with a colleague at lunchtime in January '26 *Ordered miso ramen (850円) and the weekday-only lunch special (+250円, small curry). *Classic Sapporo miso ramen! Simple but very delicious. The set's curry was medium-spicy and tasty! *There are counter and tatami seats, and the restaurant feels clean. *I'd like to try wonton noodles next!
