Such a semi-hidden gem. Delicious food with vegan and vegetarian options as well as meat options. Good service and cozy atmosphere.
View on GoogleVery charming cafe, cash only, ring the bell on your table when you’re ready to order. This is a lovely place for a coffee, a meal, and a really nice setting to relax, listen to music, and savor the coffee. The staff is wonderful, warm and attentive.
View on GoogleGreat food and service. Prices are pretty alright too! Feels like a 50s type vibe with the old style coffee shops. Food is plentiful and best part is there were no other foreigners here just me and local Japanese families. Only con which isn’t much of one, is the tables are a bit small for my foreigner legs, but that’s alright.
View on GoogleDistant nostalgia and Showa-era remembrance. The moment you step inside, a warm and comfortable space unchanged from the good old days spreads out before you. The hurdle is a bit high, as weekend opening is "only one Saturday a month," but it's still a place worth visiting. ※Checking the opening days before visiting is a must. It's nice to fill your stomach with a light meal, but my favorite is to indulge in reading and quietly lose myself in thought with bittersweet coffee and a sweet treat. It's an irreplaceable place that gently stages such a luxurious way to spend time.
View on GoogleIt opened in 1964 (Showa 39). It is the oldest surviving pure kissaten in Sapporo City. When you open the door, it's like another world. A retro space filled with Showa-era luxury. The amber-glowing chandeliers are said to have changed color over the years, through the era when smoking was allowed. The red leather sofas are lovely too. The current owner is the 7th generation. They are said to be a working interior coordinator. While carrying on the atmosphere of the founding days, they also take on new challenges to suit the needs of today and keep evolving it. The signature Napolitan, loved since its founding, and the retro-looking homemade pudding are popular. The 6 kinds of cream soda added to the menu since the current owner's time are also popular for their beautiful color gradients, which look great on social media. The successive owners reportedly have no blood relation or connection to each other. Even so, I think it's rare for a shop to continue to the 7th generation. I think it's a cultural heritage Sapporo City should be proud of, and I hope it will be passed on to future generations. 【❤❤】
