Great little shop for souvenirs and a cafe. Get some onsen eggs to cook at the nearby hot springs and you can bring that back to eat. Super delicious 😀
View on GoogleYou can buy eggs here to boil in the nearby garden. The attention was amazing and the lady was really kind!
View on GoogleEpic side quest adventure! Stop by and get some eggs to boil in the nearby river. So memorable.
View on GoogleI stopped by for a break. It's in a corner of the Jozankei Bussankan Chuo store. It was cold, so the niiiice warm coffee really hit the spot! I was also surprised it tasted better than I'd expected. The manju (1 for 90円) and skewered dango (1 skewer for 100円) were delicious too, and the staff were very pleasant, making it a heartwarming stop. Recommended for a break while exploring Jozankei^_^
View on GoogleVisited on March 15, 2025. This "Ochadokoro Hidamari" is inside the Jozankei Bussankan Chuo store, across Tsukimi Bridge from National Route 230 (it is in a different location from Jozankei Bussankan's Omohideya). When making onsen eggs in the "Ontama no Yu" hot-spring pool at Gensen Park, you can buy raw eggs at the Jozankei Bussankan Chuo store, then return here once they are ready, borrow spoons and plates, and sit down to eat them (seating and tableware rental are free! The initial raw eggs purchased at Bussankan cost money). Hope your onsen eggs turn out well.😁
