Although there are many kaisendon restaurants in Nijo Market, I think choosing this one was an excellent choice. There was a short wait, but since the staff took order in advance, you don't have to wait long after being seated. The quality and freshness of the seafood were outstanding. As someone who eats rice everyday, I was especially happy that the rice itself was so delicious. We tried four different bowls, including three of their most popular options, and every single one was excellent. One person in our group ordered an egg yolk to mix into the bowl, and that was also a great choice that I would definitely recommend.

The staff are usually efficient, but English communication may be limited. Looking at the menu pictures makes ordering easier. Prices can be higher than regular restaurants because of the fresh seafood and market location. Donbe is a good choice for seafood lovers visiting Nijo Market. The fresh sashimi, seafood bowls, and traditional market atmosphere make it a memorable Hokkaido dining experience.

A little shop in Nijo market and it was only a few shop opened late after 2 pm. I went with no queue and ordered both Salmon and Tuna bowl. The food was so nice. Big Tuna and salmon big chunk and they were fresh. Crab soup was nice. The service was fast and staff was helpful.

Medium size restaurant. Restaurants here sell similar items just every restaurant has few items that mix with different types of seafood combinations. The price here are not the most expensive one. Seafood rice is fresh and delicious. Quite disappointed with the crabs. The meat is dry and stick firmly to the shell, need a lot of effort to remove meat and meat is not juicy at all. Mostly due to over cooked, it cost us more than ¥6000 for the crabs!

One of the more reasonably prized raw sashimi stalls I found here in Nijo market! Every sashimi here is very fresh! The Uni is fabulous! The blue fin tuna, fresh crab meat, prawn, and even the salmon is soft and fresh! Orders were taken before hand, before u go to your tables. Good experience here! 👍
