Best espresso I've had in Japan

I went in on a weekday evening in mid-March, and there are about a dozen seats. I'd been curious about this shop since I pass by it on my commute, so the timing worked out for a meal. Coffee is the top recommended item, and this time I ordered the mushroom curry set. The mushroom curry was also full of ingredients and tasty, and the blend coffee in the set was quite delicious, making me curious about the other coffees. There's a lot of interesting stuff like roasted coffee beans for sale, cold brew coffee, and today's service menu, so it's a shop I'd like to go to again.

I visited during the morning service hours. The small interior has a calm atmosphere. The morning blend coffee had a clean taste. For +50 yen added to a drink, you can get a toast and salad set. Smoking seems to be allowed, and the smell of cigarettes firmly soaked into the empty shop was a point of concern for a non-smoker.

I used it for lunch and ordered the omu-curry set of Nanbanya-style black curry. The set lets you choose a salad and a drink, and I chose the cold brew iced coffee. Using 25 kinds of spices, it's an elaborate original menu item that's hard to find elsewhere. The iced coffee also comes in several varieties, and I chose cold brew. It's said to use subterranean water from Mt. Hakkai in Niigata Prefecture, and it was deep in flavor and delicious too. They also offer breakfast and cake, and sell authentic coffee beans, so they cover a wide range. Smoking is allowed inside, and it feels like an aged, atmospheric kissaten.
