I am so glad to have trekked down from Mt Moiwa and found this gem! The dishes here are so homely and authentic!!! 😍 really love this place! The no. 1 set costs about SIN$15 and is really great value! It consists of the ramen with simmered pork which is very tender and melts in your mouth! The rice makes me feel like at home. The vinegary kelp whets up my appetite! Really glad to have found this gem! Their service is very good too! The menu is in Japanese and they took the effort to recommend the dishes one by one. 👍👍👍

An extraordinary feeling to eat an Okinawa cuisine, the southern place in JP, at the Sapporo, the northern place in JP. The entree is pretty well, diners were immersing in an Okinawa summer atmosphere while snowing outside!!! Special thanks to the staff who tried her very best in English to let me know how to use the vending machine and purchase process.

Lovely food, friendly hosts – what's not to enjoy? Great place for a tasty meal before ascending up Mount Moiwa on the majestic seilbahn, as the Austrians would call itml. Such a mountaineering bunch, I say!

Came to this cosy Okinawan restaraunt after hiking Mount Moiwa, warmly welcomed by the owner who recommended we get the Taiyo Shokudou set menu that includes many iconic Okinawan dishes. Loved the vibe and decoration of the store. Being the first time trying Okinawan cuisine, the flavours of the Soki Soba was amazing and unlike any other sobas I've had in Japan, the Koregusu (Okinawan chilli sauce) went really well with it. I enjoyed trying the unique dishes like jimami tofu, chanpuru and sata andagi that came with the set meal. Would love to visit again.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this hidden gem, and it’s safe to say it offers the best Japanese home-cooked meal experience I’ve ever had. Specializing in Okinawa cuisine, the way they marinate and slow cook their meat is nothing short of perfection. Each bite is a delightful journey of flavors, and the tenderness of the meat is truly remarkable. I couldn’t resist trying their shabu shabu, and it was absolutely awesome! The meat continued to impress, complemented perfectly by the vinegar sauce provided. The greens accompanying the dish added a nice touch, especially when dipped in the flavorful vinegar sauce. As a tourist, the warmth and friendliness of the kitchen staff and waitresses made our dining experience even more memorable. Despite the language barrier, they went out of their way to help us understand the menu without judgment. The camaraderie among the customers and the welcoming atmosphere further enhanced our visit. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone eager to savor authentic Japanese home-cooked meals or experience the true essence of Okinawa cuisine. It’s undeniably the best of the best.
