Saw a lot of bad remarks, I can understand, tho I decided to give a pretty good mark whatsoever. The place is not so attractive I have to admit but the owner and the quantity of food served is astronomically huge ( so be careful about that ). From what I understood, the owner makes it's stock in the morning, which mean the best time to eat the fish definitely is at lunch time. As for me and most of my friend, the meal was really good ( and quite cheap for the quantity! ). The only downsides for me are the fact that the owner seems unfriendly at first, even if it's not true. And the fact that one of my friend sadly had a not fresh anymore salmon pieces. The owner quickly apologized and prepared another set for my friend, so. I'll recommend this place for sure

PLEASE do not eat here if you don't want to get food poisoning. They may offer volume, but freshness is definitely off the menu. Don't get fooled by the magazine cover they posted outside the store.

I visited for the first time on 5/24. The owner told me that the shop was closing permanently that day. After seeing it featured on television, this was a sushi shop I'd long wanted to visit someday. By chance, I had something to do in Sapporo, so at the very last moment, I was able to visit. We talked about various things concerning Asahikawa, and then I left. Thank you very much. Thank you to the owner and his wife for all their hard work.

A shop near Hokkaido University in Sapporo. It currently opens for lunch only. They offer seafood-packed kaisendon and sushi for 2000円. Generous portions of toppings such as botan ebi, abalone, tuna, salmon, saba, and octopus head (octopus head is a Hokkaido sushi topping not often found in Honshu, but it's neither hard nor too soft, with just the right texture, and I personally love it) make 2000円 excellent value. It was fresh and very delicious. The people at the shop are very kind, helpful, and pleasant. A place I recommend. I visited after seeing it featured on the Nippon TV network's "Human Gourmentary Omoumai Mise". Just as on TV, it was fresh, generously portioned, and truly delicious. I'd like to go again.
