Great place to eat gyozas! It's a small restaurant where you can get a quick and affordable dinner. 18 gyozas with rice, miso soup and two types of pickled vegetables were 940 yen! It was very filling. However, don't come here if you're expecting amazing quality food. The food is modest and normal. Please try eating gyozas with curry! It's great!
View on GoogleMiyoshino, once called the cheap and delicious soul food — a few years ago their staple gyoza curry was cheap enough that you'd get change back from a single 500-yen coin, but now it's 830 yen, nearly double. Even so, the taste hasn't changed and I crave it every now and then. The Kita 24-jo branch is cramped and always crowded, but this time, maybe because it was past 9 p.m., I was the only customer. I ordered and paid on the touch panel, and it arrived in just 1 minute, but didn't the portion clearly get smaller? The gyoza were also just taken out with disposable chopsticks from a takeout pack that had been kept warm, so there was no freshly grilled feel and the texture was soggy. And it seems they no longer serve fukujinzuke, the curry's great supporting player — there wasn't any. The curry tasted as good as ever, but it's a shame about the soggy pre-made, kept-warm gyoza and the missing fukujinzuke. I'll probably be going less often from now on.
View on GoogleWhen you think Hokkaido, it's gotta be Miyoshino~~~ Wrapping up the night with drinks at the hotel and takeout gyoza (*´艸`*) So gooood😋 Honestly I wanted the gyoza curry, but since I'd just had a seafood bowl and sushi, I could only manage the gyoza on its own... Miyoshino's gyoza after so long — still the best
View on Google2026.03.28 The charge for the cabbage pickles has been scrapped. --------------------------------------- Reliably delicious. And a nostalgic storefront. I had the ‘Miyoshino Teishoku’, a set of 6 gyoza and curry, and since it had been so long, it was so good it almost brought me to tears. It used to cost five hundred yen, but now it seems to be nearly 900 yen. Still, in these times of sudden inflation after deflation, I guess it can't be helped. That said, it was a shock that the fresh cabbage pickles that used to be free now cost extra. Well, it's only 20 yen. But eating them after paying, they just tasted salty to me. By the way, the fukujinzuke is free — generous. When you think of Miyoshino, you picture a long, narrow shop with a tiny frontage. A real ‘eel's bed’, the image was of it wedged into a multi-tenant building near the station. But before I knew it, these days family-restaurant-style shops for families have been multiplying along national highways. That might be nice too, but strangers sitting shoulder to shoulder at a counter of just 5~6 seats — that's the good old Miyoshino. I'm a softie when it comes to Miyoshino, so I was very satisfied.
View on GoogleI live in Tokyo, but I get these intense cravings for Miyoshino gyoza. I went on a Friday around 13:00. The shop is small so I waited a bit, but the turnover is quick so I got seated right away. The taste is reliably good. The filling is well seasoned, but there's not too much of it, so they go down easy. The person I went with said they're great even without gyoza sauce! This taste at this price — I can only be grateful. The cabbage pickles are really delicious too. Sorry for eating so many... lol The staff were pleasant too, and quickly noticed when we needed water refills, which I thought was wonderful. There's no parking, so you'll need to park at a nearby coin parking lot. I rarely get to the Nishi 24-chome branch, but I'm glad I made the trip. I'd like to go again when I'm in the area.
