I always passed by this restaurant, but it was so close to home that I had never gone in. The timing worked out, so I stopped in to eat. Since it was my first visit, I had the classic 手ごねハンバーグ, 200g, with rice＋unlimited drinks for 979 yen! There are more than 10 choices, including soup, hot drinks, and cold drinks. The ハンバーグ was full of meat juices and delicious. You choose your preferred ハンバーグ sauce from 5 kinds. And the ハンバーグ comes on an iron plate shaped like a cow 🐂. I found out after entering: the 29th is Meat Day, with half-price menu items!! I would like to have steak on a day like that. The staff were pleasant too.

I visited for lunch and ordered Hokkaido beef filet steak & 手ごねハンバーグ (200g each). Since today is the 29th (Meat Day), I got a menu item normally priced at 2,590 yen for 1,295 yen. It is a generous, filling portion; if you do not start cutting and eating quickly, you will struggle toward the end. The 手ごねハンバーグ was tender and delicious too. You can drink 琴似 water, lol. Large rice portions are free, you get a free salad by adding them as a friend on LINE, a drink bar and soup are included, and posting on Instagram gets you free ガトーショコラ on a Hokkaido-shaped plate. They really offer plenty of extras.

A steak & ハンバーグ restaurant that apparently just marked 5 years since opening in 琴似. It is next to 琴似神社, with a bright, eye-catching sign. Because of that, I had always been wary, thinking it might be an intimidating place. But during a late Sunday lunch, the surrounding restaurants were closed, so I cautiously stopped in front. There was a menu, and the prices turned out to be more reasonable than I expected. カットステーキ and ハンバーグ, 120g each, cost 1390 yen (before tax). At 200g, it is 1990 yen (before tax), so you can enjoy a very generous meal for just over 2000 yen. There are 5 sauces to choose from. This time I picked the restaurant’s standard onion sauce. Drinks and soup are self-service and unlimited. The カットステーキ had some chew to it, but was certainly not too tough and was easy to eat. The sauce went well with rice too. The hand-kneaded ハンバーグ was springy and packed with flavor. Personally, I prefer a slightly coarser grind and meatier texture, but this one also makes you eat plenty of rice. Apparently, steak and ハンバーグ are half price on Meat Day, the 29th. If the timing works out, I would like to go again!

I visited for dinner on a weekday. If you park at the nearby タイムス, they issue a parking voucher according to your meal bill. I ordered the steak and ハンバーグ combo set, and curry. The steak plate was cow-shaped and rather cute. The piping-hot food was ready fairly quickly! The curry had quite a strong flavor, which suited my taste. Besides counter seats, there are tables for 4 and 6 people, so it feels bigger than it looks from outside. 琴似 has many Western-style restaurants and fairly strong competition, but this one seems to have been around a long time. I would like to visit again.

I ordered the selected wagyu カットステーキ and ハンバーグ set. The ハンバーグ had little binder, so it was meaty and delicious. The カットステーキ was too tough and did not suit me. Basically, 2,000 yen per person will get you a decent meal. The drink and soup bars are included with the meat set. Everything else costs extra. The ハンバーグ topped with red wine and red miso sauce might become addictive, lol.
