Today was my first visit. I had Nōkoku Ton-Shio Ramen and an aburi chashu rice bowl. The ramen had a pork-bone salt broth, with my favorite curly noodles, the kind distinctive to Sapporo. Sweetness and richness clung to the noodles, and I drank every drop of the broth. The chashu melted in my mouth without even needing my teeth, and the savory fat was delicious. There were counter seats, raised seating, and tables, accommodating solo diners, couples, and families alike. A delicious place with a lingering appeal that I'll definitely revisit. I also like the owner's loud calls.
View on GoogleI visited around 15:30 during Golden Week. There were about 4 other groups of customers. This time I had “Nōkō Ebi Kara-Miso” at 3 times the spiciness. (You can choose spiciness from 0〜3 times.) The moment it arrived, a lovely, toasty shrimp aroma rose up all at once🦐 The noodles are medium-thick and curly, and the broth coats them well. The soup has a mild miso base with a very pronounced toasted shrimp aroma. When you drink it, there's a slightly rough, gritty texture on your tongue, and a strong, rich shrimp presence that seems to come from powder or stock made with shrimp shells and heads. This is really delicious🤤 The toppings are simple: plenty of green onion, menma, chashu, and nori. The heat is “definitely spicy,” leaning toward tasty heat rather than extreme heat🌶️ There's ground chili on the table, so you can boost the spiciness too. Above all, the broth is very well crafted, with shrimp umami and miso balanced nicely in one bowl. Highly recommended for “people who really want to taste the shrimp”🍜 It seemed to be a one-person operation at that time, but service was fairly quick, the hospitality was pleasant, and the restaurant was spacious and stylish. A lovely place👍
View on GoogleI ordered shoyu ramen for 950 yen, 5 gyoza for 350 yen available only at weekday lunch, and a small rice. The review ratings were fairly low, but personally I like this bowl. The broth is cloudy white but not heavy, so it's easy to eat. It's rich and slightly strongly flavored, but goes well with rice. It's nice that the rice is free at lunchtime if you pay cash. The gyoza are cheap too. The children's shoyu, 450 yen, is free if you pay cash. Recommended for families.
View on GoogleLimited-time Asari Assari Shio Ramen, 1100 yen. Looks delicious and smells good. Soup: light, no unpleasant smell, just-right saltiness, pleasant umami, delicious. Noodles: average. Menma: average. Chashu: falls apart in your mouth, no cloying fattiness, flavorful and delicious. Egg: slightly soft-boiled with just-right seasoning. Wakame: average. Green onion: average, perhaps not much of a presence. Value: well, probably worth it! White bean paste soft serve: not cloyingly sweet, with an elegant overall flavor. There are various other ramen options too, and I'd like to return. ーーCame backーー Nōkō Ebi Ramen (miso), 1150 yen. Looks delicious, smells good, no unpleasant smell. Soup: no unpleasant smell, mellow, with rich shrimp and broth umami enveloping your mouth. Not too weak or too strong, just-right flavor that doesn't get tiring. Delicious. The soup contains small but somewhat coarse bits of shrimp shells, legs, and antennae. I don't know if they're for stock or aroma, but every time I chew, there's an unpleasant shell texture against my teeth. It would have been perfect without that, so that was the only disappointment. Noodles: average. Menma: average. Chashu: the cut served was somewhat firm, but parts fell apart tenderly. Green onion: plenty on top, thinly sliced diagonally, mingling nicely with the noodles. Value: definitely worth it, I'd say! Cremia soft serve, 550 yen. It's rich and delicious, but cloyingly sweet and a little tiresome. The cone was mildly sweet, soft, and crumbled apart, making it a little hard to eat. Value: questionable, leaning toward poor.
View on GoogleI'd been a few times since the restaurant first opened, but always forgot what it was like. The other day I went again after a long gap. I thought the reason I always forget is that the flavor doesn't stand out. That time we had the regular miso and rich shrimp miso. The shrimp miso had coarse powder that kept catching in my throat, and it was rich, but only the tonkotsu was rich; the flavor was vague. The regular miso was like, “Now that you mention it...” Again, only the tonkotsu was rich, and there was hardly any miso flavor. There wasn't anything really punchy, and it was hard to identify a distinctive character, which is probably why I hadn't remembered it. It's not bad, so it might suit people who want a lightly flavored tonkotsu base.
