The main shop is the Shoyuya Honten and annex Oton Shokudo in Kurisawa, Iwamizawa. Old-fashioned soy sauce ramen born at the Manji coal mine — "Shodai Kobato Ramen," "Nidaime Shoyu Ramen," and "Nadai Manji Ramen" are popular menu items! We found this ramen shop near the hotel after a long walking day at Nopporo, it was cold already. They have varied options of ramen and even curry. The shop is beautifully decorated with Showa period stuff and the service was fast and excellent. There's a vegetarian ramen among other ten options. (We got lost trying to get here because of the elevators, but we made it)
