Was on my way heading downtown to find some food when I came across this. The name sounds like a promising good value for money, and it turned out to be very true! They have a daily lunch set different for every workday in the week. Today is fried chicken set - for only 580 yen! Got to wait in the cold for some 10 minutes in the line but it was worth the wait. Btw there are a lot of vegetables in the dishes, very rare in Japan for such a price!! Veggie fan paradise!

It opens at 10:50. By the time it opens, there are already more than 10 groups lined up. The daily lunch limited to 30 servings a day is a bargain at 580 yen, but I think it sells out before 12. In that case, the 880 yen hokke set is recommended. The seafood dishes are just so cheap and delicious. I pray tourists don't find it.

🅿️ There's parking for 7 cars behind the shop ♪ I arrived around 12:30 on a weekday Wednesday, wrote my name down and waited about 40 minutes. Even when I finished eating around 13:40, there were still people waiting. You could request either a table seat or the counter, but I waited without a preference. I was guided to a table seat, but the inside of the shop is bigger than I expected and the counter is wide too, so the counter would have been totally fine ◕‿◕。 Since it was lunchtime, I was prepared to wait ◕‿◕。 I ordered the hokke set, it came with miso soup, salad, and side dishes too, great value just like the reviews said, very delicious and I was satisfied ❤︎ The makanai don and soba set is also good value and recommended ◕‿◕。 This is very delicious ♪ I want to go again ◕‿◕。

I went for a slightly late lunch. There were a few people ahead of me in front of the shop, but I was shown in after about 10 minutes. This time I had the Magokoro set. The sushi had fresh toppings and was delicious, and the tempura was crispy and delicious too. With soba included for ¥1280, I think it's the best value. There's a parking lot behind the shop, but it may often be full.

Magokoro Shokudo serves the best-value kaisendon. The taste is faultless and satisfying! Cheap! Fresh! Not just seafood, they also have curry, tendon, and hamburg. The interior is clean and the service is good. It's become a shop I want to come back to!
