A must-try for chahan lovers! The separate-grain texture and savory flavor of “エビチャー,” a perfected classic, blew me away. After seeing it on Instagram, I visited “町中華たかはし,” which had caught my interest. I was after the shrimp chahan, which looked delicious at first glance. • Dedication to chahan: True to its description as a “chahan-focused neighborhood Chinese restaurant,” the execution is impressive. Every grain of rice is perfectly separate, with a wonderfully balanced looseness in the mouth. • The star shrimp: Plenty of plump, springy shrimp sit on top, making it visually impressive and very satisfying to eat. It truly tastes like the pinnacle of classic chahan. • Definitely returning: Every bite convinces you, “Delicious!” I chose shrimp this time, but next time I want to tackle “たまチャー(たまごチャーハン)”. Chahan's simplicity reveals differences in skill, and a restaurant that satisfies this much is rare. Thank you for the meal!
View on GoogleThe rice is bad. Old and too soft. I had hoikoro; the flavor was good, but they seemed to be really skimping on the meat. The soup bowl didn't feel like something from a Chinese restaurant. The place was cluttered and looked like it could close down any moment. The person who ate the ankake yakisoba apparently found it unpleasant in a way they'd never tasted before. Disappointing😢
View on GoogleI had some time before my driving-license theory class, so I left the driving school for a bit and came here. No customers before or after me. I ordered ankake yakisoba. Thoroughly seared noodles were served with a well-salted, ingredient-filled thick sauce, arranged almost separately. The noodles were rock-hard. So I ate them while loosening them with the sauce, but they felt a little too hard for me.
View on GoogleI visited after seeing an appetizing shrimp chahan video on Instagram, but the tatami seating area was piled with cardboard boxes, leaving only 1 table usable. The shrimp chahan was indeed delicious, but the ankake yakisoba was burnt, bitter, salty, and unpleasant. The ramen also tasted like nothing more than soy sauce added to chicken broth. Everywhere was dirty and dim, and I never want to go back.
View on GoogleAnother fun noodle outing today! So today I came to 町中華たかはし! Looking at the menu, らーちゃー(1000円)(a shoyu ramen and half-portion chahan set)caught my eye, so I ordered it❕ The food arrived. First I sipped the soup: the gently flavored shoyu broth paired perfectly with the pleasantly firm noodles. A bite of chashu had a fantastic chew, so meaty it really felt like eating meat. The chahan had a light salt seasoning and a delicious coating of oil. Another delicious meal enjoyed today😋🍴💕❕ They have a wide variety of chahan, and every photo on the menu looks delicious♪
