Super delicious! So far I've had the tonkatsu set meal, ginger pork set meal, and grilled lamb set meal, and they're all very delicious! Just the right amount, and the shop has a nice atmosphere too! The manager is kind. The manager seems to be a Nippon-Ham fan. Always watching the Nippon-Ham game broadcasts. Also, if you order coffee with your meal, they discount it from 250 yen to 100 yen! I always get the set meal + iced coffee combo for 1050 yen. Hours are 11:00~20:00, closed every Sunday and the 2nd and 3rd Mondays. If you go after 13:00, it's not crowded! But the popular curry sometimes sells out, so if you want curry, it might be better to go early.

Taiwanese folks, come on by🥰 The owner couple is very friendly and kind. During the lunch rush they don't serve omurice or the vegetable set meal, but at other times I recommend everyone order them, because they're really delicious!

Tonkatsu set meal (shoulder loin) 1000 yen incl. tax During the busy period from 11:30 to around 13:00, you can't order the stir-fried vegetable set meal or omurice. The tonkatsu set meal is average, neither good nor bad. I thought it was a pretty ordinary shop.

2025.10.25 First visit. Stopped by after bathing at Shinrin Koen Onsen Kiyora. It's along National Route 12, and apparently it's been open for nearly half a century. Both the exterior and interior feel just like a good old-fashioned diner, showing their age accordingly, but it's kept properly clean. The shop is run by two people: the owner, who looks like Hasegawa from Nishikigoi, and his wife. At first I asked for omurice, but the owner said, 'Sorry. The omurice and the meat & vegetable stir-fry set meal are suspended from 11:30 to 13:00.' Apparently that time slot is busy with lunch so they can't keep up, and serving a poorly made dish because of it would be rude to customers. Aww, too bad!😞 Pulling myself together, I was thinking the tonkatsu set meal or the autumn-limited fried salmon set meal might be good..., when I saw 'grilled lamb set meal' at the bottom of the menu, got curious, and asked the owner, 'Excuse me. What's this grilled lamb set meal?' He said it's grilled with a sweet-savory soy-based sauce, so I ordered it: 'Then I'll have that, please.' After I ordered, the owner prepared it with impressive efficiency and the food arrived in no time. Just the look and smell made it seem really delicious😊 It's lamb and onions finished in a sweet-savory soy-based sauce, served with rice, salad, miso soup, and pickles. First, a bite of the grilled lamb. The lamb and onions are a perfect match, and the sweet-savory sauce is seasoned strong enough to go with rice, so delicious I couldn't stop eating rice!😃 The rice is cooked fluffy, the salad is fresh and crisp, and the miso soup is light yet full of dashi, all delicious too😄 Finished it in no time! At checkout I said to the owner, 'Thank you for the meal! It was really delicious! I think 1,000 yen for something this good is really reasonable, but why is it a grilled lamb set meal and not a Genghis Khan set meal?' He replied with a gentle smile, 'Well, if I made it a Genghis Khan set meal, I couldn't sell it for 1,000 yen, could I!?' Fair enough! (lol) He got me there!🤣 The owner looks tough at first glance, but he's very friendly with a memorable gentle smile, and his wife is quiet and also kind and gentle. Next time I visit, I'd like to order the omurice I couldn't have this time. It was very delicious! Thank you for the meal!

Went for the first time; there are no noodle dishes. The standard tonkatsu set meal is 1000 yen. The loin is pounded thin and tender, and it was delicious. I saw reviews giving low ratings saying the meat is thin or the sauce is salty, but what kind of fancy food do they usually eat? Also, curry comes with a fork, no spoon; it's the shop's particular way. If you're brave, ask them and let us know in a review. Some people gave low ratings over this fork too The lady's smile when she said 'thank you very much' was lovely.
