The food was not fresh at all, and the service was below par even for regular international standards, not to mention Japanese etiquette standards. I did not enjoy the restaurant one bit, especially the uncleanliness and smell. I came because of the good reviews on Google Maps, but from my experience, the food and service was nowhere near how people describe it to be. I do not recommend this at all. Do not believe all reviews.

I had the large serving. There was quite a lot of rice, but it was a shame the toppings were few and thinly sliced. So naturally the price is low. As for the all-important taste, the rice was delicious, but the toppings were just average.

Since it's close to Hokkaido University, it gives off a strong image of a student eatery (an izakaya at night), but the food is insanely good. The seafood dishes in particular are cheap for their portion size and high quality, I think. There's a wide variety of donburi on the menu, so I'd like to keep coming back.

A really great place that serves seafood at prices even students can afford. They post the day's deals on Twitter, so I go there often.

The daily donburi was reasonably priced and felt like a great deal. The mackerel on the bowl was extremely delicious.
