Izakaya grilled local fish is good with sake. The mixed vegetables and steamed salted clam were oishii. Tbe restaurant doesn't have English menu and don't speak English but staff were very patient with us when we were trying to Google translate the menu order but failed as no internet connection in the basement.Eventually, we ordered what our neighbors were eating and it turned out well. Good local eats and value for money.

An excellent place to explore the food of Hokkaido. Fresh seafood with great value. Loved the large oysters and scallops. Two people and drinks less than $30. Not much English spoken. Sat at the counter and it was easy to point at the food. Would definitely go back again and order the flounder in broth.

Amazing experience overall. Super friendly staff. I don’t speak Japanese and was able to order by pointing at google review pictures. Variety of food available. Everything we ordered was fresh and fairly priced. Atmosphere is welcoming and down to earth. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Very authentic and traditional style Japanese food. They don’t have English menu so it can be tricky to order. Best to go with recommendations from the waitresses. Shop is under the stairs and booking is recommended as it is hard to do a walk in.

Enjoyed a sashimi platter and a salmon ochazuke for dinner! It’s crowded for dinner.
