Great crab from their partnered vendor but the sashimi was a letdown. We waited about 40 minutes and ordered the salmon and tuna sashimi rice bowl. It’s nice they let you add extra toppings for 500¥ per topping. We wanted to try the uni sea urchin and scallops. They were really kind and helpful in taking our orders. We also got a small hairy crab from the vendor outside, which they offer to cook for us so can enjoy with our meal. The crab was fresh and delicious—so sweet and great texture. Unfortunately, the sashimi tasted fishy and was not fresh. The tuna slices were stringy as well. We hope to come back and try the grilled fish options, which seems more like their specialty…and perhaps update our review next time.

Hidden gem here Very good kaisen don . Maguro are not stringy and very good Uni and ikura tasted sweet and fresh. They also cooks Hokke, scallops shell fish. They accepted us even though we went 50 min before closed . The kaisendon came with miso soup and yellow takuan. They dont have soda so just drink the hot tea they give you. Tap Water not too tasty . Only have sitting counter tables .and it's a very small place.

When there are too many options, one can only rely on what the locals recommend. At Nijo market, I went with this small restaurant recommended by local hair stylist. Reached 45mins before it closes at 2pm, thus lucky to get a seat without waiting. Freshness is guaranteed. There is English menu and don’t be shy to ask for the sashimi combo if you don’t see it on the menu. Take note the snow crab seller operates separately from the restaurant but you can enjoy the huge crab inside nonetheless. Prepare cash for payment.

A little seafood place in Nijo market We found this place by accident and see the line up so we assumed this place must be good So it seems like that a lot of people ordered Grilled Fish and yes we also did and it was the right decision The Grilled fish is well cooked , the skin is really crispy , you could almost eat the entire one, well seasoned For the seafood bowl is amazingly delicious!! Very fresh and have a sweetness from the meat It is worth dining in this place If you travel in Sapporogive this place a try

Very disappointing. My first meal started with a kaizen don the rice was bland and hard, not soft at all. The scallops and shrimp were fresh, but the soy sauce was too strong. Overall, not good. The portion was really small too. I guess people who like very mild flavors might enjoy it, but for me it was way too bland nothing stood out. I’m not happy with this meal at all.
