The system here is simple: you choose your seafood at the shop front first, and then you go upstairs to wait for them to prepare it. The king crab we picked was very fresh, and the sashimi was great too. The seafood itself is definitely good. While the food is good, I highly recommend exploring the other parts of the market first. Don't forget to walk deeper into the market to see the rest of the shops/restaurants!

View on GoogleGreat kaisendon in Sapporo, I got the tuna bowl and it was pretty good, but what I was most impressed by was their hokke or atka mackarel. Believe me you must order this when you go here!
View on GoogleThe food is amazingly great! The king crab legs is a must have. It is a bit pricey but if you'll be here once in a lifetime it is a definitely a must have. All the food that we ordered are all fresh and tasteful. The place has lots of pictures of presumably famius people which means that is a popular restaurant. There is also a fresh market below. Cash and card payment are accepted. There is also a side parking but there are some parking area with a bit of walk.
View on GoogleAmazing Crab Feast at a 75-Year-Old Sapporo Legend On our last day in Hokkaido, we hit up this legendary seafood spot that’s been around for 75 years. Stepping inside felt like traveling back in time—old-school wooden decor, vintage vibes, the whole deal. We went straight for their famous baby king crab, and man, it did NOT disappoint. When they brought it out, the shell was this gorgeous bright red, and the meat? Pure, snowy white—so fresh it practically jumped off the plate. The texture was insane—firm, sweet, and ridiculously juicy. A quick dip in their house-made kelp soy sauce took it to another level. No fancy tricks here, just perfect seafood done right. By the time we left, we were already planning our next trip back. If you’re in Sapporo, this place is a must. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you.
