I stopped by Katsutoku Toyohira and really enjoyed the meal. The flavors were satisfying without feeling too heavy, and it was exactly the kind of comforting food I was hoping for. It’s the sort of place I’d be happy to return to when I’m in the area.

The bowl was curry was opened in package and not made immediately. The fried pork was too fried and my throat was pain after eating it. There was also a bowl of cabbage not cooked, with no sauce, how am I suppose to eat it? With not any sauce? The curry was then too sweet after eating after a while. The waiter passed by holding the water bottle refiller, looked at my cup of water, which was empty, for a split second, then decided that his hands were too tired to even bother to help me refill my cup of water.

Delicious. There's sometimes a queue. They provide scissors for cutting into smaller pieces and a lemon squeezer.

Decent quality tonkatsu and great value, especially the weekday lunch sets. The loin can be a bit too fatty so I would prefer the fillet. Friendly staff and excellent service. Enjoyable tonkatsu meal but can’t beat Katsuretsutei in Kumamoto (see separate review).

Really surprising! Arrived late at Sapporo and just found this restaurant around the corner. Awesome staff/service and tonkatsu, fairly priced. The pictures speak for themselves!
