- Cash only restaurant Walking to Hokkaido Shrine from Sapporo station I saw this restaurant and decided to give it a try. The smell was great in the restaurant and I ordered a beef curry udon. The beef cuts were surprisingly delicate and very tasty. Thick udon noodles with great consistency and the soup was heavy and deep in its taste. Only thing to beware of is that the meal is piping hot when served and for me it took a while before actually being able to eat and enjoy it properly.

I visited with a friend on a Wednesday for lunch at around 1pm. There's 2 parkings available at the front. There were few seats available when we arrived. We received our food within 5 minutes of ordering. The food was good and staff was friendly as well.

Of all the many places my wife and I ate at on our 2+ week trip in Japan, this was my favorite by FAR. We came in on a cold day and the staff were super friendly and helpful to us who read little Japanese. The restaurant is immaculate and very cozy. Now, I cannot exaggerate enough, the curry udon is DELICIOUS! The noodles were perfectly soft, but the star is the broth. This broth was singing to me as I was eating. It is a beautiful symphony of flavor that is almost unmatched in my 33 years of life. I also had a piece of squid tempura that was SO good. I cannot recommend this place enough. It is a true hidden gem you must try when in Sapporo! Especially great during a cold, snowy day.

It was definitely one of the best curry udons I’ve ever had. Staff wasn’t really able to speak in English but they made a big effort to communicate and showed great hospitality. It is also very close to the Museum of Modern Art Hokkaido, so please visit when you’re in Sapporo!

【First visit May 2026=豚ちくわカレーうどん】 Two of us visited on a weekday just before 13:30, with a chilly wind blowing. We were shown to a table. Inside there are 5 counter seats and 4-person tables✕3. A late lunch of 豚ちくわカレーうどん(1190円). A set of 京風カレーうどん and chikuwa tempura w/ salt. Apparently the set-meal version also comes with rice & a small side dish. Thin udon noodles coated in piping-hot Kyoto-style curry soup containing fried tofu, thinly sliced pork, and green onions, thickened with kudzu, with curry spices shining through the Japanese broth. Delicious. The chikuwa tempura eaten with salt was delicious too. My partner isn't good with spicy food, so we requested “less spicy”, and they happily accommodated us. Thank you! My partner and I both finished everything.
