Restaurant specialise in crab. We ordered in advance prior to our trip due to large group of people. No individualise options available and we are only allowed to eat the set we ordered after we arrived so make sure you order enough. The crabs were good and fresh but not worth the pricing. You are paying mostly for the traditional decor and private rooms. One surprising dish was crab tempura. Quite crisp and delicious. One of the waitress doesn’t seem to be quite happy with us taking a long time putting our shoes on after dinner (shoes off while inside the restaurant) and kept making the gesture asking us to hurry up which I find it quite impolite.
View on Googlethe restaurant insisted us to choose a few dishes or set course when we made the reservation. We were a group of four so we told them we’d have 2 of the set and we would order some from the a-la-carte menu. After we arrived, seated and still browsing the menu for additional order, the food that we had ordered earlier start arriving! The restaurant didn’t allow enough time for us to finish each dish (don’t forget this is crab meal, almost everything has shell on it!) and just delivered everything hurriedly, it’s not enjoyable! PS - the servers were absolutely friendly and courteous! 2 star rating for the service was nothing to do with them PPS - Restaurant don’t allow shoes on the tatami
View on GoogleThey have English speaking staff - very foreigner friendly. Great service. Fresh crabs. Everything was just good. Price matched expectation. Came with pre-prepared sets when making reservations. Was not able to upgrade to another set - but no issues with it. Will definitely try another one next time. Liked the private room even for a party of 3.
View on GoogleExquisite traditional Japanese restaurant specialised in crab cuisine. You dine in a private Japanese style room with a garden view. The set menu gives you a crab sashimi, steamed crab and other variety of seafood and beef selections.
View on GoogleNice and cosy atmosphere , all individual private room, service is good , although Japanese speaking only. Fair presentation of food and not really tasty , A bit disappointed! I thought it must be tasty if the crab is fresh, no matter how it’s cooked! So……. The entrance is so dark and not eye catching and difficult to go down under snowing weather!
