Kanikousen Nijo Market Store is a great place to enjoy fresh Hokkaido crab in a relaxed setting just outside the busy Nijo Market. The king crab was sweet, fresh, and perfectly cooked, while the crab tempura was crispy and delicious. The staff were friendly, and the service was quick. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality of the seafood makes it worth trying if you’re looking for an authentic crab meal in Sapporo.

I experienced one of the best king crab sashimi here truly fresh, sweet, and unforgettable. Even the wasabi tasted so good. Yes, it was strong, but in the best way, adding such a bold and authentic touch to the whole experience. A truly wonderful dining experience and one of our favorite places to return to. The service is always warm, attentive, and genuinely excellent, which is a big reason why we keep coming back. The food is amazing every time. We love starting with the Crab Ramen A with topping no. 2 plus butter, then continue with our favorite rice bowl, no. 19. Their crab gratin and sea urchin rice bowl are also absolutely delicious and feel so indulgent. I also really appreciate how extremely clean the toilet is it reflects the care they put into the overall experience. The space is big, comfortable, and very family friendly. The location is also super convenient, right in front of Nijo Market. Highly recommended for anyone looking for amazing food, heartfelt service, and a comfortable family dining experience.

The food here is unreal! The tuna sashimi (blue fin) melts in your mouth and is the best I’ve ever tried. We had to order a second plate! All the other seafood was well prepared and delicious. Another honourable mention is the buttered scallops. The staff are attentive and friendly and kindly gave my daughter a free ice cream. 10/10

Came here two days in a row in my 2-day stay in Sapporo, I had the best tempura I’ve ever had in my life!! The seafood is also super fresh, I like that this place has cooked seafood as well as raw so there’s something for everyone!! Service is also super attentive, restaurant is very new and clean, and prices are very reasonable. I don’t usually write reviews but felt compelled because this might be one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Japan. This is a must go if ur in Sapporo!

We just had the best hairy crab ever! It was super tasty, fresh, and totally melted in my mouth. The restaurant had a really good ambiance, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The staff Ms. Chihiro were super attentive and accommodating. Definitely gonna come back for more! I highly recommend giving this place a try.
