JR Tower Observatory T38
A 38th-floor observation deck with 360-degree views of the city, plus a cafe, gift shop & restrooms.
JR Tower Observation Deck T38, located on the top floor of "JR Tower," the commercial complex at Sapporo Station, lets you enjoy a 360-degree view of the sprawling Sapporo cityscape from the 38th floor, 160 m above the ground. You can take in wonderful views, such as the straight streets laid out in a grid that stretch on endlessly and the neon-lit center of Sapporo at night. Indirect lighting and ambient music inspired by the planets create a comfortable mood. In addition, at "T'CAFE" you can enjoy an aromatic coffee break during the day and relax at the bar at night. Don't miss the toilets with a view, designed around the concept of "having an overwhelming sense of openness all to yourself"!

Nice view point of Sapporo Not expensive to get in, easy book online or just walk in to buy tickets at counter. Have coin lockers service at entrance. Up there's amazing view of Sapporo. Food and drink provide. Not so expensive. Some chairs and benches to sit and enjoy. Nice view from Man and handicap Toilet.
View on GoogleFor only 740 yen per person, this spot is definitely worth visiting. Especially compared to the TV Tower. We did find it a bit tricky to locate and had to ask the hotel staff to point us in the right direction. There was no wait time when we went during the day in Golden Week. Elevators run fast. Lots of space upstairs to walk around. A bar area with some seating, that doesn't obstruct the view or prevent you from still taking pictures. The windows were pretty clean considering it had been raining. No annoying souvenir shops with cheap Chinese garbage around every corner either. Just a peaceful experience enjoying the view on Sapporo city and the JR station with the mountains in the background.
View on GoogleMust visit. Altho it is significantly lower in height vs other buildings in the world, the offers a panaromic sight of Sapporo. This city is rather flat hence 38 floors is adequate to see it 360 degrees. We visited on a super clear day hence was could see all the Mount Moiwa as well as Furano. Environment is very calm and relaxing on the floor. Saw a few people sleeping on the chairs that are available. Ticket price is a bit steep but highly recommended.
View on GoogleI was sceptical first. And then- surprised. The view to town and mountain 🏔️ area is excellent. Staff up there is super friendly and it invites us to dream, be calm, reflect and come to senses. A nice viewpoint or place for a romantic trip. I like it much. Thank you, Arigatou
View on GoogleUnnecessarily hard to find as everyone says. Signs initially lead you towards it, but then abruptly stop, I almost gave up. It's the 6th floor of Stellar Place. Once you know that, I think its pretty easy to find. The observatory itself was very pleasant and spacious. The cafe was nice as well.
