成吉思汗なまらJingisukan Namara
A popular Jingisukan shop that celebrities visit incognito. The lamb, whose umami is brought out through dry aging, aging techniques, and the shop's own unique preparation, is superb. The "Lamb Pon," ordered by nearly all regulars, is a must-eat menu item.

The meat quality was excellent, you could really taste the difference between each cut. I highly recommend a thick cut. The owners had great English and were very kind and accommodating. We came on a Monday so it wasn't super busy, but we got lucky because it was mainly fully reserved. I appreciate their flexibility. I would recommend reserving ahead of time if you plan to go here, it seems very popular. Definitely worth the price as well.
View on GoogleVery nice and impressive staffs. Price and quality+taste of food are so unbelievable!! Not too many choices of the menus but all of them are so delicious. Reservation is highly suggested!!
View on GoogleThe food. Service. Atmosphere was on point ! Loved that they had strict rule by running a place with a reservation:) service was very nice . I will definitely visit again if i come to Sapporo next time:)
View on GoogleHeard from a Japanese friend that I've got to have lamb/ mutton in Sapporo.. and found out later he meant "Genghis Khan" ;) Anyhow, I initially aimed for a popular shop, but the wait was like 3 hours! So I found an alternative that's near/ with no wait. To be honest, I did not feel very welcomed at first when queuing, but once I seated and ordered.. it was ok. I asked for the 2 best picks of the restaurant and was recommended the "signature" cut and the thick one.. i ended up adding another serving of "signature" one because it's easier to cook. Overall, it was very satisfying, the meat was not gamy, and i enjoyed it with the soy sauce dip. Great first experience of "Genghis Khan" in Sapporo, but it won't be the last.
