Absolutely fantastic soup curry! The broth was rich, fragrant, and full of depth, with just the right amount of spice. The vegetables were incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked and flavorful. The tempura, which was light, crispy, and paired beautifully with the meal. Every dish was beautifully presented, and you could really tell that care went into every ingredient. The staff were warm and welcoming, creating a relaxed atmosphere that made the experience even more enjoyable. This was one of the best meals I’ve had in Hokkaido, and I’ll definitely be coming back on my next visit. Highly recommended!
View on GoogleThe soup curry here is chicken soup for your soul. A must visit after hokkaido jingu shrine. The soup curry is chockful of veggie and root vegetables. Very hearty. I got the tempura set which included a giant red shrimp, chicken and burdock root. Come early as they have limited seats.
View on GoogleThe curry soup is absolutely delicious and definitely worth trying if you want to experience Hokkaido’s famous soup curry. The tempura is excellent as well—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The food is well worth the wait, so be patient. The owner and staff are kind, friendly, and provide great service. Highly recommended!
View on GoogleWalking back from the shrine through the heavy snow, the scent of spices hit me long before I saw the shop. It felt like finding a shelter. I chose the Shrimp Broth with my soup curry. It was profound—rich and intense, yet clean enough to drink like a tea. The vegetable tempura was served with salt rather than sauce, a choice that confidently allowed the natural sweetness of the ingredients to speak for themselves. I finished the meal with a Plum Salt Soy Milk Shake, a refreshing counterpoint to the heat of the spices. But what I will remember most is not just the food. It was the elderly staff—the grandmas who, despite our language barrier, treated me with such genuine warmth. As I left, they struck a flint stone (Kiribi) at the door to wish me a safe journey. In the freezing Hokkaido winter, that spark was the warmest thing I encountered.
View on GoogleIt specialises in a shrimp based curry full of seafood and it is a very different from other curries. It was also a very nice experience to sit at the counter and watch the cooking process. The miso side dish was delicious and I'm tempted to buy it home. Overall a chill and relaxing experience! I got spice level 3 which isn't very spicy.
