I went to this museum because it was an inexpensive add-on to admission to the nearby Modern Art Museum, and it was well worth it. All of the work is by one man who died rather young, but he mastered many different styles in his sort life. Figure on an hour or so.

Beatiful museum and very friendly staff. Weather you like Migishi Kotaro's art or modern art in general is not so relevant as you will definitely learn something and find it interesting. The museum with wooden floor and large windows is nestled in a beautiful park and has an incredible atmosphere. Very different from the gloomy "Museum of Modern Art" close by which I didn't enjoy at all.

Very cool museum dedicated to Migishi Kotaro that also featured works from young artists from Hokkaido. The cafe was quaint and served delicious coffee.

Friendly staff. There's also a cozy, charming cafe. You can even purchase simple art items at great prices.

A small art museum, it was so serene and peaceful here at the beginning of February. The park out front must be so beautiful during the spring and summer months. During winter, stop by the art museum before dropping in at the cafe inside afterwards. The scenery outside the glass windows were so beautiful, seeing the untouched snow, this cafe was so far removed from the crowds. I'd come back again just to have another seat by this window one more time. For those that love to read while enjoying a hot beverage, this is a phenomenal place.
