Old soba shop in front of 11st exit in Sapporo stn. When I head to richmond hotel, I saw this place and a lots of people. I thought the shop is quite old and musty but intuitively felt nice place. Afterward, I eat this soba in last night before I leave Sapporo. I’m just fully regret that I tried this only one time.

Extremely affordable buckwheat noodles also known as soba. The service is not the best but I wouldn’t have high expectations considering the extremely generous price and also the overall set up of the soba restaurant. It is meant to be a quick traditional Japanese fast food where you’re standing and eating a noodle soup. Overall it’s extremely authentic and this place has been around for decades. I would highly recommended for anybody who hasn’t had this experience so far. However for people who have been many times to Japan, this might not be so special.

As a soba lover, Hinode Soba was one of my favourite finds in Sapporo. A quick eats place, you select your order from the machine then hand it to one of the friendly servers behind the bar, who gives you your soba fresh and hot! Cheap, fresh and delicious. Love this kind of place which you see many locals visiting as well 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Run by 3 elder women who work efficiently to serve all customers. All movements with purpose. They welcome you with a smile. Very good soba and soup.
