A ramen shop run by a friend's dad near my parents' house. I think it is irresistible for those who like ramen with a strong taste. You really ought to go and see!

This was my first visit. The atmosphere was nice, the interior was clean, and the staff were kind and polite, so it felt good. I'll be back again. As for the taste, this is just my personal opinion, but it was a distinctive shoyu ramen. It tasted like a more approachable version of Hachiya, the long-established shop in Asahikawa. Again, just my personal opinion. Photos Shoyu ramen ¥1,180 Rice ¥160 Apron ¥30

This is my favorite ramen shop that I've been going to with my family since I was a child. Now I'm married and come with my own kids. Whenever I come back home I crave it; it's my soul food. I've been here many times, and I usually go in the early afternoon on weekdays or around 7 pm, and at those times I can usually get in relatively smoothly. During peak hours you sometimes have to wait. When ordering, you can choose noodle firmness, soup strength, amount of oil, and toppings to your liking. I always order the shio ramen (1,080 yen) with lighter flavor and less oil. The soup is classic Sapporo ramen derived from Sumire; it's rich yet stays delicious to the very last drop. When they first opened there was no shoyu ramen, but after a lot of trial and error it was newly added. My family always orders the shoyu ramen, and it's not as salty as its black appearance suggests, and because it has lard in it, it stays piping hot to the end. The miso ramen is also really delicious, so I'd love for you to try and compare all the varieties! Even though it's a popular shop, it's memorable how the owner, despite being busy, looks each customer in the eye and says "Thank you very much." Since it's a ramen specialty shop, there are no side dishes like gyoza or fried rice. It uses a ticket machine and payment is cash only. If you don't have 1,000 yen bills they'll make change for you, but it's smoother if you have them ready in advance. With the taste that hasn't changed since I was a child and the warm service, I'm now happy to be able to come with my own kids. I recommend it not only to those who love Sapporo ramen, but also to anyone looking for a shop that has long been loved by locals.

*I'm not a ramen fan I was brought here because it was a shop someone was curious about. (Luckily there was no wait) I bought the regular shoyu (charred? pitch-black soup) for 1080 yen at the ticket machine; the staff's service wasn't bad. I ordered everything standard, and it had a smell like shiitake mushrooms. The toppings were thin menma, wood ear mushrooms, green onion, one slice of chashu, minced meat, and stir-fried bean sprouts and onions. It's black but not particularly salty. I didn't really sense much depth or umami either. There was a note pointing out that it comes with bean sprouts and onions, but there was only a tiny amount. Lots of wood ear mushrooms. My impression: just ordinary. If you asked me whether I'd go again, no.

My first visit. Hachimaki-ya. There were posts saying the shoyu ramen packs a real punch, so I ordered the shoyu ramen. The color is reminiscent of Toyama Black. When I tasted it — strong! And there's a film of lard, so it's piping hot! Listening to other people's orders around me, I heard quite a few asking for lighter flavor and less fat. I think I'll order it that way next time too.
