Since changing jobs I've had no spare time at all, so I met up with a friend for a meal for the first time in a while. We went to "Gyoza no Hanaya" in Tsukisamu Higashi, which I'd given up on before because the parking lot was full. It was weekday lunchtime, but we got in without trouble. The lunch menu is extensive and everything looks tasty. We ordered à la carte rather than set menus and shared. The egg fried rice was seasoned just how I like it—I was moved! The gyoza were big, with chewy skins and juicy, piping-hot filling—the best! And my personal No. 1 was the white sesame tantanmen. They said the regular medium-spicy makes some people choke, so I ordered it mild. This too had superb seasoning and noodle firmness, beyond expectations—as if they knew my preferences? This is a definite recommendation. Prices across the menu are low, to the point I worry "are you okay in times like these?" By all means, go.
View on GoogleEverything we ordered was delicious. The bliss of washing down bubbling-hot mapo tofu in a stone pot with Akaboshi. The black soy sauce fried rice was super delicious too. The gyoza too—I enjoyed them following the suggested step-by-step way of using the condiments. A place I want to go back to🥟
View on GoogleFor lunch I had the Sichuan-style mapo tofu set and gyoza à la carte. The mapo tofu arrived bubbling and piping hot. The gyoza had a crispy surface and chewy skins, with meat juices spilling out. They make things after the order comes in, so there was a bit of a wait, but you get truly freshly made food, so I was satisfied with how delicious it was.
View on GoogleI wanted gyoza on the way to my destination, so I went. Chewy skin and juicy inside. The portion was just right for an old guy like me. If you're a big eater, I recommend a large rice.
View on GoogleThe shop has gyoza in its name, and I tried various things, but personally I liked the meat ankake fried rice. The others were of course delicious too. It's built like a house, a homey shop😊 It seems like a place where women could relax together, but it was crowded at lunchtime. Parking is to the left as you face the shop, with a few cars parked in a row. There was construction, so it was narrow and a bit tricky.
