guupee
A small café in the 札幌・苗穂 area. The name 「guupee(グーピー)」 comes from “guusuka piisuka,” an onomatopoeic expression for sleeping. We want to offer “time so relaxing you could sleep soundly.” This coined name carries that wish. In a calm space with the warmth of wood, you can enjoy carefully prepared coffee and lattes, and gently sweet treats. We also regularly host POPUP events, workshops, and more, making it a place for new encounters with people and things. We hope to become a place where someone can briefly rest their heart. Spend your time freely, as yourself, at guupee.

On a snowy, cold day in Sapporo, I was looking for a cozy and comfortable cafe to relax in, and I stumbled upon this place. The owner is incredibly friendly and the coffee is delicious. If you're looking for a relaxing afternoon in Sapporo, I highly recommend stopping by this cafe.
View on GoogleThe chiffon cake was incredibly fluffy, light, and delicious, while the carrot cake was dense with concentrated spice and nut flavors, and delicious too. The tables inside were spaced generously, so it was nice to spend time without worrying about those around me!
View on GoogleI'm a light-roast coffee person, and this shop's coffee is exactly to my taste. I visit various cafés and drink coffee, especially エチオピア coffee, and among the places I've visited recently, I thought this shop's エチオピア coffee was the best. Apparently they order their light-roast beans from 東京. It was so delicious that I ended up having all 3 types of light-roast coffee…. Each of the 3 had its own strengths, and comparing them was fun. The ブラジル light roast was good too. I'll visit again. Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleAway from busy downtown 삿포로, a bus ride of 5 stops, and the entrance to 구피 café is right there when you get off. My husband found this lovely café before we went to the beer museum; it offered a sense of leisure we wouldn't have experienced if we'd just gone to a coffee shop downtown. There are 3 types of drip coffee and 3 desserts, and we chose chocolate pound cake. Both cash and cards are accepted, and the owner is very friendly!♡ A lot of snow fell for a short while, and we had a happy time watching it.
